Talk About Alcohol & Drugs
Children should also talk about other drugs. Talk to them yourself before their friends talk to them the wrong way.The best age to talk about these things is ten. According to a research, parents who talk to their children about addiction have 50% less chances of their children becoming addicted to drugs. When you talk to them, tell them clearly what are the harms of drugs, what are the problems in physical, mental, social and spiritual health and what is the punishment given by the law of our country.
Be a Part of Children’s Lives
As children grow older, it becomes a little more difficult to be a part of their lives. But it is very important that you become a part of their life physically and mentally like you go to events where children are present, play games with them, hug them at least once a day, love them, And it is important to appreciate them. Plan and go out for fun with them. Doing all this will build the child’s confidence, the child will get opportunities to talk with you so that he will share everything with you.
Be a Good Role Model For Children
Children are usually photocopies of their parents. Be yourself as you want your children to be. If you want children to respect you, then you should start respecting your parents. If you want children not to turn to drugs, then you should stop all drugs including cigarettes. If you want your child not to get angry, then don’t do it yourself. Share positive stories from your life with them. Discuss with the children examples such as: Son, I do this positive thing when I’m upset. When I’m bored, I do this positive thing. Make some house rules, laws and regulations or constitutions.
Make Some House Rules & Then Enforce Them
Internet should be a place where everything happens, i.e. a common place and the Internet should also be closed when it is time to sleep. There should be a fixed time for getting up and the teacher should be followed while making it. If a child breaks the rules, he should be punished and if he completes a task, he should be rewarded. Make decisions on merit. Reward and punish children on merit.
Monitor the Children
It is the duty of parents to monitor their children’s activities. What they do in the room, what people they hang out with, who are their friends, I want to check their notebooks. They want to invite their friend’s home for dinner and then check how they are doing if they don’t have any bad habits.
